Norann “Kookie” Feli, 66, of Newtown, beloved wife of the late George Feli, died at Waterbury Hospital March 15. She was born in Danbury, August 29, 1948, and was the daughter of the late Anna (Germinaro) and Norman Golder.

In her younger years she enjoyed being baton twirler for the Grassy Plain Drum Corp in Bethel. Kookie was a loving wife who enjoyed many activities alongside her husband, especially traveling across the United States, and their annual vacation to Old Orchard Beach, Maine. She was an avid NASCAR and Sprint Car fan and supporter. She loved her 1973 Ford Mustang, attending classic car shows, and listening to Elvis Presley. Kookie will be remembered as a great storyteller, who loved to make everyone laugh.

Her three sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins will sadly miss her. She was lovingly known as “Grandma Kookie” by four grandchildren, Xavier, Logan, Remington, and Aurora Wescott.

A celebration of life will take place Saturday, March 28, at 11 am, at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to York County Racing Injured Driver Fund, 568 Yale Street, York PA 17403.
