Patricia J. Moran Tropeano, 72, of Sandy Hook died peacefully February 26 at Danbury Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 20, 1942, in Troy, N.Y., and was the daughter of the late Ingeborg (Jensen) and Brearton Moran.

She spent the last 40 years as a resident of Sandy Hook with her husband of 50 years, John L. Tropeano.

In addition to her husband, two daughters, Deborah, and her husband Robert Gannon, and their sons, Ryan and Connor, of New Milford and Tricia, and her husband John Campbell, their children, Justin and Alyssa, of Sherman; a son, Louis Tropeano of Weehawken, N.J.; a sister, Bette Dest of Morris, Conn.; a brother, Brearton Moran of Yonkers, N.Y.; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews survive Mrs Tropeano. Also holding a special place in her heart were Julia-Jane McNulty Lambert, Katie-Rose McNulty Oliver, and Ed Nole, who she took joy in babysitting for many years.

Friends may call at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, Monday, March 2, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, March 3, at 11 am, in St Rose of Lima Church, Newtown.
