Patricia Henley
Patricia M. Boland Henley, 93, of Shelton died July 30, at Shelton Lakes, with her loving family by her side. She was the devoted wife of the late Warren Henley. She was born in Ridgefield on December 30, 1923, daughter of the late Margaret (Tierney) and Patrick Boland.
Mrs Henley was the beloved mother of Gregory E. Henley of Newtown, Patricia E. Tottenham, and Cynthia H. Burke. She was the loving grandmother of Scott Tottenham, and his wife Lori; Kelly Tottenham; Kristine Viglietta, and her husband Chris; Allyson Danso, and her husband Gerry; Shannon Burke, and her fiance Tom Gorton; and Ryan Burke, and his wife Kaitlin. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Two sisters, Christine Cater and Mary Elyn Evans; a son-in-law, William H. Burke; and a daughter-in-law, Suzanne Kamaitis Henley, predeceased her.
Mrs Henley graduated from Ridgefield High School in 1941 and went on and became a registered nurse from the St Vincent's School of Nursing in 1944. She worked in area nursing homes and spent the last 20 years of her career working at Bishop Wicke Health and Rehabilitation Center, where she retired in 1991.
She was a beautiful, classy, and loving woman who had a passion for fashion, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Mrs Henley brought smiles, joy, and laughter to all she encountered and left a lasting impression on her family.
The family would like to thank the nurses, aides, and staff at Shelton Lakes for their care and compassion.
Her funeral procession was at the Riverview Funeral Home on August 3 with a Mass of Christian Burial at St Joseph Church. Her burial followed at Riverside Cemetery, Shelton.
