Grace Joyce Montague Davis, 87, of Port Charlotte, Fla., beloved wife of the late Louis W. Davis, died September 22, with her family by her side. Born in Bridgeport, she lived in Fairfield for 50 years before moving to Southbury and then Port Charlotte  in November 2016 with her daughter and son-in-law.

Her son, Jeffrey, and his wife, Doreen, of Newtown; her loving daughter, Linda Davis Biron, her husband, Albert, of Port Charlotte; her grandchildren, Virginia, Alexandra, Jeff, Annemarie, Emily, Jaime, and Garrett; a son-in-law, Christopher Jordan of East Hampton; two sisters, Louise Lawrence of Southbury and Lorraine Horvath of Madison; and a sister-in-law, Joan Davis of Fairfield, survive Mrs Davis.

Her son Christopher; daughter Margaret Davis Jordan; three sisters, Ruth Scinto, May Bues, and Dorothy Sheehan; and one brother, William Montague, predeceased her.

Mrs Davis was retired after having worked at SNET for 38 years. She was a member of the SNET Telephone Pioneer Club, as well as the Red Hat Society. Mrs Davis enjoyed bingo and was an avid University of Notre Dame and New York Giants football fan.

Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, October 14, at 11 am, in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Road, Fairfield. Prior calling hours have been omitted. Interment is private.
