Arlene Stanley, 76, of Fairfield died peacefully August 20. Born in Camden, N.J., to Ann (Walsh) and Arthur Stanley, she was a longtime area resident.

Her loving brothers Michael J. Stanley, and his wife Joanne, of Newtown and Arthur M. Stanley, and his wife Suzie, of Tigard, Ore., survive Ms Stanley, as do her two aunts and a nephew.

Ms Stanley conducted research for the US Foreign Service in Paris and Saudi Arabia prior to accepting a job in the Medical Records Department for the Carolton Convalescent Hospital in Fairfield.

Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday, August 26, at 10 am, at St Pius X Church in Fairfield. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Friends may greet the family Monday, August 25, from 5 to 7 pm, at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road, Fairfield Center.
