Police said that on February 21, they received a complaint from a Plumtrees Road resident informing them that medical waste has been repeatedly dumped in that area during the past year.

Plumtrees Road is a residential side street that extends from Taunton Hill Road to the Bethel town line.

On at least seven occasions, some unknown person has discarded used ostomy bags on the side of the road in the area of the resident's home, police said. Police said it does not appear that the complainant is a target for the medical waste disposal, but that the littering just happens to occur there.

Police Patrol Officer Leonard Penna is investigating the case. Police ask anyone with knowledge of the medical waste dumping to contact Ofc Penna at the police station at 3 Main Street, telephone 203-426-5841.
