Bertha Heneghan Kiernan, 94, longtime resident of Trumbull, died peacefully July 15 at Lakewood Manor in Waterville, Maine. She was born in Trumbull, October 16, 1919. She was the wife of the late Edward T. Kiernan, Sr.

Her sons Edward Kiernan, and wife Aida, of Newtown and Donald Kiernan, and his wife Patricia, of Naples, Fla.; her daughter Mary Lou Kiernan Bolt of Thompson, Ohio; her grandchildren, Christopher Kiernan of Austin, Texas, Kelley Kiernan of Naples, Fla., Thomas Schneider of Chardon, Ohio, Valeri Rayas of Willoughby, Ohio, Tami Moore of Huntsburg, Ohio, Scott Schneider, and his wife Carrie, of Cardon, Ohio, Michael Kiernan, and wife Kimberly, of East Hampton, Sarah Kiernan Butz, and husband Daniel, of Sandy Hook, Jedidiah Kiernan, and wife Marie, of New Britain, and Hannah Kiernan McMullen, and husband Andrew, of Augusta, Maine; and 17 great-grandchildren survive Mrs Kiernan.

Friends may call Sunday, July 20, from 3 to 5 pm, in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, 4 Gorham Place at Main Street, Trumbull.
