Newtown Public Schools will be closed Wednesday, March 7, due to anticipated weather. A nor'easter is expected to arrive in the area by mid Wednesday morning, and is forecast to leave several inches of snow by the time is moves out of the region.

The district made the announcement Tuesday evening.
