Nadia Falko

Nadia Falko, 90, of Seymour, widow of Anatol Falko, died January 10. She was born in Ukraine and emigrated to the United States in 1950.

She retired from the State of Connecticut and had worked as a seamstress at the former Fairfield Hills Hospital in Newtown.

Mrs Falko had been a very active and devoted parishioner of Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Bridgeport where she was a member of the Sisterhood of the church. She was also a member of the Union of Ukrainian Women. Her passion in life was her children and grandchildren, whom she loved cooking for, especially on holidays.

Two beloved children, Walter Falko and his wife Kathi of Bethany and Liudmyla Falko of North Jupiter, Fla.; six loving grandchildren, Natalie Falko, Katherine Falko, Stephanie Falko, Melanie Falko, Nathan Agrin, and Andrea Ellison; four cherished great-grandchildren; one brother, Alexander Horjatschun and his wife, Olga, of Allentown, Penn.; and several nieces and nephews survive her.

Friends may call on Friday, January 26, from 4 to 8 pm, at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford. Panikhida at 6 pm.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 27, at 9 am, directly at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 99 York Street, Bridgeport, with the Reverend Oleksandr Dviiniatin officiating. Interment will follow at St John Cemetery, Stratford.
