Donald G. Springmeyer, 75, of Sharon died March 16, at his home. Born August 4, 1938, in Mount Vernon, N.Y., to Dorothy (Bricker) and Harold Springmeyer, he was a loving husband of June Springmeyer for more than 52 years.

His three daughters, Debbie Springmeyer of Newtown, Donna (Springmeyer) Saputo of Sandy Hook, and Dawn Springmeyer of New Milford; his son-in-law John Saputo; his brother Alan Springmeyer of Southbury; and several loving granddogs and grandcats also survive Mr Springmeyer.

He graduated from Mamaroneck High School and continued his education at a technical school for mechanics. Mr Springmeyer was a retired jack-of-all-trades, owning a service station in Larchmont, N.Y., a Formula One Racing set-up garage facility in Bedford, N.Y., a construction company in Newtown, and his most recent position, as the general manager with Candlewood Shores Tax District and Water Department, for 23 years.

His final wish was for all his family and friends to remember him as he was, and to celebrate his life.

At his request, memorial services will be limited to immediate family.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Salisbury Visiting Nurse Association, 30A Salmon Kill Road, Salisbury CT 06068 or Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington CT 06111.

The Kenny Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
