Josephine Polvere Groholy
Josephine Polvere Groholy, 92, died peacefully March 13, in Southbury. She was born April 12, 1921, to Caroline and Rafael Polvere.
Two loving daughters, Lorraine Dejulio, and husband Richard, of Newtown and Linda Lawton of Dallas; two grandsons; her brother John, and wife Doreen; sister Sylvia Polvere; as well as many godchildren, nieces, and nephews survive Mrs Groholy. Her loving husband Joseph; two sons, Paul and Martin Groholy; son-in-law Edward Lawton; sisters Lee Polvere and Dale Brunk; and brothers Ralph and Jerry Polvere predeceased her.

She will be lovingly remembered for her wonderful laugh and kindness to everyone. She was a homemaker devoted to family and religion.
Friends are invited to attend the funeral mass at Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main Street South, Southbury, Tuesday, March 18, at noon. Burial will follow at Lawncroft Cemetery in Fairfield. Mrs Groholy requested no calling hours.
In her honor, please do a random act of kindness. In lieu of flowers, make a donation to the Connecticut Humane Society.
