Raymond L. Dawkins
Raymond L. Dawkins, 87, a longtime resident of Trumbull, died March 10 at Bridgeport Hospital. He was born in Litchfield, Ill., to Hilda and Raymond G. Dawkins.
His three children and their spouses, Cynthia and Stephen Csordas of Sandy Hook, Laura and Richard Kissane of East Quogue, N.Y., and Michael and Leslie Dawkins of Monroe; his sister Iris Jubelt; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews survive Mr Dawkins. His wife, Reva (Irvin) Dawkins, predeceased him.
An Army veteran, he proudly served our country during World War II.
Mr Dawkins retired from Olin Corporation where he was audit manager of corporate policy and procedure. He was an active parishioner at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, serving as an usher and a member of the lawn crew.
Friends and family are invited to attend his services Saturday, March 15, at 10 am, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 5995 Main Street, Trumbull, with the Reverend Emil Witschy officiating. Inurnment will be in Nichols Village Cemetery, Trumbull, immediately after. Friends may greet the family on Saturday at the church, at 9 am until the time of service.
