Thomas McDougall
Thomas "Tom" Patrick McDougall, 65, of Edgar, Wis., formerly of Sandy Hook, died peacefully March 9. He was born in Danbury, on August 8, 1952, the son of Evelyn and Harold McDougall, and grew up in Sandy Hook with his family.
Mr McDougall was a lifelong drywaller. He moved around the country before settling in Central Wisconsin in the 1990s. He met his companion, Polly Becker, in 2003. He enjoyed gardening and canning, spending time outdoors, storytelling, and long talks on the phone catching up with his family all across the country. He also loved spending time with Polly's family, especially her grandchildren, taking hikes and watching them play in the backyard. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
His companion of 15 years, Polly Becker; his son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Chrissy McDougall; his daughter, Sheena McDougall; his grandson, Aiden McDougall; his sisters and their husbands, Maureen and Mark Paloian, and Karen and Larry Stout; his niece, his grandniece, as well as his extended family and many other close family and friends, survive him.
His parents, Evelyn (Weber) andHaroldÃÂ McDougall; and sister, Kathy Cann, predeceased him.
Mr McDougall will be cremated at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home in Wausau, Wis.
A memorial service will take place at a later date.
