Mary Jane Anderson, 84, of Woodbury died March 16. She was born on September 15, 1933. She wrote a column called "A Dog's Life" in The Newtown Bee for more than 20 years.

Three children, seven grandchildren, one great-grandson, and two beloved four-legged companions survive her.

Her parents and son predeceased her.

Ms Anderson was known for walking her German Shepherds on Main Street in Woodbury. She also founded Dog Days, taught obedience to many dogs, and was a much-loved pet sitter.

A memorial gathering took place on March 25 at the Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere with four-legged companions in attendance.
