John C. Doty, 57, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of 22 years to Doreen Valacka Doty, died peacefully December 14. Born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., he was the son of the late Shirley Annis and John Charles Doty, Jr.

Survivors in addition to his loving wife include two brothers, Thomas Doty of Newtown and Ralph Doty of Naugatuck; three sisters, Rose Fessette of New York, Terry Lynn Stone of Nebraska, and Wendy Costin of New York; his daughter Shirlee M. Doty of Bridgeport; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr Doty worked as a warehouse supervisor for more than 30 years, most recently at Pella Windows and Doors in Monroe.

He was an avid football fan cheering for his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys.

All who knew him, including his cats and dogs that he loved to be around, will sadly miss him.

A private memorial service will be held for Mr Doty at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bridgeport Animal Shelter, 236 Evergreen Street, Bridgeport, CT 06606 or ASPCA at www.aspca.org.
