Glen Karcheski, 55, of Waterbury, and formerly of Newtown, died September 11, at Danbury Hospital. Born in Bridgeport, August 23, 1958, he was the son of the late Jeanne (Smith) and William Karcheski. 

Mr Karcheski graduated from Newtown High School in 1978, and worked for Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford for more than 30 years, until he became ill in February 2013.

His wife Carol (Specht) Karcheski and his brother Brian Karcheski of Lakeville, Conn., survive Mr Karcheski. 

A celebration of his life will be held at noon, Saturday, September 28, at 49 Old Mystic Road, North Stonington.
