Head O' Meadow Holds Annual Awards Assembly

Head O' Meadow Elementary School Principal Barbara Gasparine welcomed all in attendance for the school's annual Awards Assembly on Tuesday, June 16.

Ms Gasparine said the event was held to celebrate the end of the school year and to celebrate student achievements from throughout the 2014-15 academic year.

Students were recognized during the ceremony for physical education, mathematic, and geography program participation and high marks.

Ms Gasparine also acknowledged the school's Spirit Commitment Teamwork (SCT), or School Community Team, for all of its work throughout the school year to do community service projects.

The assembly finished with the whole school singing "You've Got A Friend In Me" and the Head O' Meadow school song.

Head O' Meadow Elementary School student Emily Jackson received a hug from math/science specialist Gail Maletz during the Awards Assembly on June 16. Emily earned the highest score in the school's Math Superstar program.
