Mitchell Fried, 90, a resident of New Milford, N.J., for 60 years, died August 25. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Esther and Meyer Fried in 1923, he served his country during World War II in the US Army, from 1942 to 1946.

He was the beloved husband of Marcia (Nechin) Fried; loving father of Randi Miller, and her husband Kenneth, of Newtown, Jeffrey Fried of Macon, Ga., and Neil Fried of Plainfield, Ill.; cherished brother of Edith Winograd, Evelyn Solcov, and Doris Gelman; the devoted grandfather of eight; and great-grandfather of two.

Mr Fried worked as a liquor distributor for Nation Wine and Liquor in Newark, N.J., for 43 years, retiring in 1988.

He was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons in Bergen County.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 am, Friday, August 30, at Beth El Cemetery, 735 Forest Avenue, Paramus, N.J. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Gutterman and Musicant Jewish Funeral Directors, Hackensack, N.J.
