To the Editor:

There are not enough adjectives to describe the work that John Kortze has put into the Board of Finance, both as a member and chairman. The Board of Finance is an extremely important board in the town and John certainly has proven himself to be the person with the financial knowledge necessary to keep spending in check.

John is able to work with all the boards, Legislative Council, finance director, and Board of Selectman in achieving the goals necessary to meet the challenges we are facing in this town. John speaks out, listens and then comes up with a solution that is palatable for all involved. His ability to study a project is phenomenal. John’s decisions are based on facts, not “wants.” Allowing John to return to office this November 3 is a positive move for Newtown. His work needs to be continued and his interest is unwavering.

Please vote to keep John on the Board of Finance.
