Irma (Almonte) Renzoni, 90, of Trumbull, mother and friend, died April 30, with her loving family at her side. Born in Petoranno Sul Gizio, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Panfilo and Giuseppina (Delmonaco) Almonte and came to the United States in 1947.

Cherishing her memory are her husband of 60 years, Raymond Renzoni of Trumbull; her daughters and caregivers, Rosanna Renzoni Rogers and husband, Donald, of Sandy Hook, Rita Renzoni of Trumbull, and Andrea Renzoni Bascetta and husband, Richard, of Cheshire; two sisters, Elena Delmonico of Trumbull and Dora Ciuffini of L'Aquila, Italy; one brother, Ralph Almonte and wife, Carmela, of Trumbull; and several nieces and nephews.

While in Italy she attended prestigious schools for dress design and as a professional designer she was associated with Rose’s Dress Shop in Bridgeport, and was an instructor at Singer Sewing Center in Milford. Throughout her life she continued to impress family and friends with her amazing creative talents.

She shared kindness, compassion, faith, and her great heritage with all who knew her. She especially enjoyed cooking, gardening, and sitting at the dinner table singing songs of her homeland.

The family would like to thank Bridgeport Hospital Geriatrics, Bright Star Home Health Care, and the Vitas staff for their professional and compassionate services.

Friends are invited to attend the funeral Monday, May 6, at 9 am, in the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, and at 11 am, in St Margaret’s Shrine, 2523 Park Avenue, Bridgeport, with a Mass of the Christian Burial. Entombment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Calling hours are from 9 am to 10:30 am, before Mass.
