To the Editor:

I have been a Newtown resident for approximately 15 years. For the same number of years, I have had the honor and privilege of knowing one of our candidates for the Board of Finance. John Kortze is an extremely dedicated, hardworking, intelligent, honest, fair, and trustworthy individual.

John cares deeply about the success and future of our town. In this economic environment, we need candidates like John with strong financial backgrounds to fully comprehend and execute the best strategies possible to address the critical issues of this town.

I feel fortunate and grateful for John’s years of service on the Board of Finance as well as the Legislative Council. I am confident that with his experience and outstanding leadership he will continue to be an integral part in the success of our elected officials in meeting the needs of our community.

In my opinion, John Kortze is the most qualified candidate for the Board of Finance. Therefore, I am very proud to be voting for John on November 3, and I encourage you to do the same.
