Jennifer Anne Ravetto and Matthew Dean were united in marriage on January 15 at Newtown Congregational Church with the Rev Steve Gordon officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr and Mrs W. Fred Ravetto of Newtown.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr and Mrs Kenneth Dean of Harrisonburg, Va.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a white Italian satin gown embroidered with pearls and crystals, fingertip veil with satin trim, and a pearl-edged satin shawl. She carried a cascade bouquet with fire and ice roses and cymbidium orchids.
Debra Ravetto of Newtown, the brideâs sister, was maid of honor.
The bridesmaids were Tracy Ravetto of Newtown, sister of the bride, Kimberly Lunstead of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., cousin of the bride, and Melanie Lester of Atlanta, Ga.
The attendants wore floor-length platinum gowns with matching opera length gloves. They carried short cascades of fire and ice roses, and pink and white roses with freezia and sprays of jenestra.
The best man was Jonathan Dean of Harrisonburg, Va., brother of the groom.
The ushers were C.J. Dean of South Hill, Va., Tim Dean of Keezetown, Va., and Greg Friedman of Atlanta, Ga.
The flower girls were Jessica Owen and Shannon Owen of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and Victoria Guaragno of Montgomery, N.Y., all cousins of the bride.
The bride graduated from Ridgefield High School, Frankfurt International School, and the College of William and Mary in December 1999. She is a Web developer with The Mottley Fool, Inc.
The bridegroom graduated from Broadway High School in Harrisonburg, Va., and the College of William and Mary. He is a software engineer with Sprint.
The reception was held at The Heritage Inn, Southbury.
After a wedding trip to Maui, Hawaii, Mr and Mrs Dean are residing in Fairfax, Va.
