Hook & Ladder firefighters lowered the flag on the Main Street flagpole this morning, to honor the late First Selectman Jack Rosenthal.

Mr Rosenthal died on November 26. Calling hours are tonight, from 4 to 8 pm at Honan Funeral Home. A memorial service is planned for 11:30 am Thursday, December 5, at Newtown Meeting House.

The Main Street flag will be returned to full-staff following tomorrow’s service, according to the Office of the First Selectman.
