Dozens of Newtown Woman’s Club members and guests gathered to enjoy the Fourth Annual Tea and Author Book Signing, held February 9 at Newtown Country Club.

Newtown resident and author Debra Sennefeld was the event’s special guest author. She had with her copies of her two recent publications, Murder Wears A Little Black Dress, the first book in her Resale Boutique series, and The Uninvited Corpse, the initial installment of her Food Blogger series.

She also shared a sneak peak of her upcoming book, The Hidden Corpse, the second title in the Food Blogger series, which is scheduled to be released March 26.

While attendees dined on tea, scones, finger sandwiches, fruit, and dessert, Ms Sennefeld spoke about her career as an author and how she finds inspiration for her books.

An avid mystery reader herself, Ms Sennefeld said in her upcoming book, The Hidden Corpse, readers will follow the main character and amateur sleuth, Hope, as she tries to find out the truth of what happened to her neighbor. The book even includes actual recipes people can use, which is a special feature for each book in the Food Blogger series.

Fans of the series will be happy to know Ms Sennefeld also is anticipated to release the third Food Blogger book, Three Widows and A Corpse, this November.
