To the Editor:

I would like to personally thank Newtown Hook & Ladder, Dodgingtown, Hawleyville, Botsford, and Newtown Ambulance, for a job well done assisting Sandy Hook on a structure fire we had on Alpine Circle on September 3.

The heat and humidity, on top of the heat from the fire, was unbearable. But everyone pulled through with no injuries.

It's nice to see in an emergency situation that everyone in all five companies and the ambulance has each other's backs (that's something to be proud of).

I would also like to thank Southbury Fire for standing by at our station.
