Newtown Bridle Lands Association's 40th Annual Frost On The Pumpkin Hunter Pace will be held on Mount Nebo Road on Sunday, October 28; pace start times run from 8:30 to 11:30 am.
There will be a luncheon with food provided by Tambascio’s Restaurant. The event will also include live music, vendors with tack and other items, and the annual costume competition with awards for the best costumes. There will also be a PeeWee Award for the youngest rider and a Jack Benny Award for the oldest horse and rider pair.
First place winners in each division will receive a gift bucket and saddle pad. Ribbons will be awarded to ten places in each division. The pace is approximately seven to nine miles. It runs through various terrains: open fields on mowed paths, wooded trails, scenic views which showcase the fall foliage, and a lake. The pace travels through a "haunted forest."
Cost is $80 for adults ($65 for NBLA members) and $50 for junior riders ($40 junior NBLA members). There will be a $10 fee for those who register the day of the pace. Entries must be received by October 26. Download the registration form at https://bit.ly/2OwZJGM.
