Artwork by 15 students was on view after school on Friday, February 26, at Housatonic Valley Waldorf School.

The show featured works by students in the school's "Shaping Identity After-School Art Program," a six-week course overseen by teacher Emily Remensperger. The program was open to Housatonic Valley Waldorf School students and other local students.

According to a description for the program, students explored themes related to identity and the art of the portrait and developing and discussing ideas of beauty, individuality, and self-expression.

As students and parents walked around the show looking at art, Ms Remensperger said students worked on observational drawing, proportions, and the idea of painting to represent an identity.

Students in the show were Isabelle Abramson, Madeleine Abramson, Emma Alexander, Hannah Alexander, Patrick Alvord, Sophia Cilento, Helena de Castro, Gabriel Friedman, Nate Lifgren, Nathan Pedane, James Reilly, Natalie Smart, Riley Whelehan, Jordan Wittmer, and Diana Wipf.
