2018 Newtown Arts Festival Event: Chernov Piano Recital, October 28 At Meeting House
On Sunday, October 28, at 3 pm, the pianist Dr Konstantza Chernov will perform a benefit concert for Newtown Meeting House, at the historic building, 31 Main Street. Admission is $10, payable at the door.
Pianist Konstantza Chernov was born in Sófia, Bulgaria, where she received her initial musical training. She earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Collaborative Piano from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG), which she attended on full scholarship.
An active soloist and chamber musician, Dr Chernov (pictured) has performed extensively throughout the United States and Europe. On Sunday, October 28, at 3 pm, Dr Chernov will perform a benefit concert for Newtown Meeting House, at the same location, 31 Main Street. Admission is $10, payable at the door.
Dr Chernov’s announced program will include Rachmaninoff’s “Prelude” in C minor, op. 23 no. 7, then the composer’s “Moment Musical no. 1-5.” The afternoon will conclude with Schumann’s “Carnaval, op 9.”
The special performance is a 2018 Newtown Arts Festival event.
