Housing Trends To Be Explained At EDC Workshop Session, Tuesday At Library
The Newtown Economic Development Commission (EDC) has scheduled a workshop session on housing trends in Connecticut and in Newtown for 7 to 9 pm on Tuesday, January 26. The presentation will take place in the lower meeting room of C.H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street.
“What’s Ahead: A Look at Housing Trends in Connecticut and Newtown” will feature State Senator Tony Hwang, and representatives from the Partnership for Strong Communities and the Connecticut Economic Resource Center.
A question-and-answer session will follow a presentation on housing projections and population trends.
Newtown has a high household median income and high housing costs, but few options for workers like teachers, nurses, electricians, firefighters, and municipal employees, according to the EDC.
