Madeline Kenefic
Madeline (Vaast) Kenefic, 91, resident of Newtown, and wife to the late Joseph F. Kenefic, died August 11, at Danbury Hospital. She was born December 15, 1921, in Norwalk, daughter of Mary (Bain Brimacombe) and Jules Vaast.
She resided in Norwalk during the majority of her life, and had also lived in the Connecticut communities of Wilton, Ridgefield, Waterbury, and since 2010, in Newtown. Ms Kenefic also lived in the Florida communities of Boynton Beach and Fort Pierce.
She was a graduate of the Norwalk High School, Class of 1939, where she was president of the National Honor Society.
She enjoyed playing piano, swimming, sailing, exercising, reading, using her computer, doing crossword puzzles, and being with friends and family. She was a literacy volunteer with students in both Connecticut and Florida.
Four sons and their spouses, Jay Sr and Letitia of Bethel, Gregory and Teresa of Houston, Texas, Jonathan and Doreen of Norwalk, and William and Katherine of Norwalk, and her seven grandchildren, Jay Jr, Ian, Ryan, Joseph, Jesse, Christine, and husband Ryan, and Griffin, survive Ms Kenefic.
