A little mud could not dampen the excitement around EverWonder Children’s Museum’s annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 13.

Despite raining the night before, the sold-out event consisted of three separate egg hunt times that took place on the grassy areas surrounding the museum, 31 Pecks Lane.

Plastic pastel-colored eggs were dispersed throughout the property for children ages 4 and younger in one area and children ages 5 and older in another section.

With baskets in hand, children scurried across the grounds — many dressed in fuzzy bunny ear headbands — to collect the goodies awaiting them inside the eggs.

Throughout the event, there were also opportunities for participants to meet the Easter Bunny, visit with farm animals from Gooseflower Farm and Little Things Farm, and take a pony ride with Clyde the pony from Little Things Farm in Newtown.
