NHS Percussion Wins First Place In MAC Competition

The Newtown High School Winter Percussion took first place, with a score of 88.45, at a Musical Arts Conference (MAC) competition on Saturday, April 2, at Trumbull High School.
Eleven winter percussion teams participated in the competition, and five competed in Newtown's class.
The group has continued to add complexity and precision to its performance each week this season, and again received a resounding clamoring ovation from spectators.
This Saturday, April 9, the group will be performing in its last competition of the season at Westhill High School in Stamford in a MAC Championship competition.
