Warrants
Police report they found Deborah Miller, 39, of Waterbury at her home on the morning of November 13 and then served an arrest warrant against her, lodging a charge of violation of probation in connection with a 2002 burglary/larceny case.
Also, police said they served another warrant against Miller, lodging a charge of failure to respond to an infraction that stems from an earlier charge of simple trespassing.
Police said they released Miller on $600 bail for a November 19 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
Hazardous Curve
Police report a one-vehicle accident on a hazardous curve on Wasserman Way, just east of its intersection with Mile Hill Road South, about 7:30 am November 14.
Motorist Rufino Gomez, 41, of Waterbury was driving a 2006 Nissan Altima sedan westward on Wasserman Way and then entered the curve, after which the Nissan spun sideways and went across the eastbound lane before its rear end struck a utility pole along the eastbound road shoulder, police said.
Neither Gomez, nor a passenger, were injured.
Police said they charged Gomez with driving without a license and with traveling too fast for conditions.
Church Hill Collision
About 5 pm on November 15, a two-car accident occurred on a congested section of Church Hill Road near the Blue Colony Diner, according to police.
Motorist Gerald Alder, 58, of Mount Vernon, N.Y., who was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Impala sedan westward on Church Hill Road, stopped and was waiting to make a left turn into dinerâs driveway, police said.
At that time, the driver of a noncontact vehicle in Church Hill Roadâs eastbound straight-ahead lane yielded in order to allow the Chevrolet to make the left turn, police said.
However, motorist Jordan Betz 41, of Bethel was driving a 2004 BMW 330-XI sedan in the eastbound right-turn-only lane for the Exit 10 on-ramp for eastbound Interstate 84, police said.
As the Chevrolet attempted to make the left turn, the Chevrolet and the BMW collided, police said. There were no injuries. Police issued Alder a written warning for failure to grant the right of way.

South Main Crash
Police report a two-car collision at the intersection of South Main Street and Ethan Allen Road about 12:22 pm November 14.
The accident involved motorist Ralph Wilson, 59, of 30 Appleblossom Lane, who was driving a 2008 Ford Fusion sedan, and motorist James Ritchie, 72, of 81 High Rock Road, who was driving a 2001 Lexus ES-300 sedan, police report.
There were no injuries. Police said they issued Wilson an infraction for a stop sign violation.
Truck Vs Sedan
Police said that motorist Joseph Lamanna, 46, of 53 Queen Street, who was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, was backing out of his driveway into the northbound lane of Queen Street at about 5:15 pm November 14, as motorist Albert Sampley, 86, of 3 Cedar Hill Road was driving a 2005 Mercedes-Benz 320-CDI sedan northward on Queen Street.
The two vehicles collided. There were no injuries. Police said they issued Lamanna a written warning for failure to grant the right of way.
Found Cameras
Police report that three cameras and some camera accessories were found at an unspecified location in town on November 10. Police are holding those items for safekeeping. The owner of the photography gear may contact police at 203-426-5841 to claim the equipment.
Interstate Accident
Motorist Peter Fragola, 55, of Bethel, who was driving a 1997 Toyota Celica westward on Interstate 84, near Exit 9, at about 2:50 pm November 14, slowed down as it started to rain heavily, after which the Toyota was struck from behind by a westbound 1989 Ford F-350 truck driven by motorist Jeffrey Jayne, 45, who lists PO Box 3512 in Newtown as his address, state police report.
Fragola said he would seek medical treatment following the accident, according to state police. Enforcement information was not available.
Median Crash
About 9:27 am on November 14, motorist Kristin Hoose, 28, of Danbury, who was driving a 2004 Toyota Corolla eastward on Interstate 84, between Exits 9 and 10, was changing lanes, but then lost control of the auto, drove onto the median and then climbed an embankment, causing the vehicle to roll over onto its roof, state police said.
Hoose received minor injuries in the accident and was transported to Danbury Hospital for a medical evaluation, state police said. Hawleyville firefighters responded to the accident. Hoose was traveling unreasonably fast, according to state police.
Toyota Vs Honda
State police report that at about 4 pm on November 13, motorist Monica Patry, 31, of Simsbury, who was driving a 2008 Honda Civic eastward on Interstate 84, west of Exit 9, slowed to a stop for traffic conditions, after which the Honda was struck from behind by motorist Kimberly Drone, 37, of Oakville, who was driving a 2008 Toyota RAV-4.
There were no injuries. Enforcement information was not available.
Warrant
Police report they arrested Richard Mercado, 27, of Shelton on a warrant on the morning of November 17, lodging charges of evading responsibility and failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.
Police allege that at about 6 pm on July 30, Mercado, who was driving a vehicle on Berkshire Road, near its intersection with Wasserman Way, struck the rear end of another vehicle and then drove away from the scene of the accident. The collision occurred when the vehicle that was ahead of Mercadoâs vehicle had stopped for traffic conditions, police said.
Following an investigation, police sought and received the warrant for Mercadoâs arrest.Â
After processing the case, police released Mercado on $100 bail for a December 1 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
Three MV Charges
About 11:50 am on November 16, police said they stopped motorist Hank Randall, 51, of Washington Depot on Mt Pleasant Road, near Diamond Drive, because Randall was not wearing a seatbelt.
On investigating, police charged Randall with failure to wear a seatbelt, driving with a suspended vehicular registration, and with driving without automotive insurance.
Police released Randall on $200 bail for a December 1 court appearance.
Larceny Warrant
After learning that police held a warrant for his arrest, Joseph Woodworth, 50, of 27 Far View Drive turned himself over to police at the police station on the morning of November 17, and was charged with third-degree larceny, which is a felony.
Third-degree larceny involves the theft of items valued at between $1,000 and $5,000.
Police said the arrest stems from their investigation into a September 3 complaint from the firm known as Tier One, LLC, which is located at 31 Peckâs Lane.
Woodworth formerly worked at the firm from which he allegedly stole various industrial items, police said.
Following processing, police released Woodworth on a written promise to appear December 1 in Danbury Superior Court to answer the charge.
Shoplifting Case
Police said that late on the morning of November 17, they went to the Super Stop & Shop supermarket at Sand Hill Plaza at 228 South Main Street in response to a shoplifting complaint.
Police allege that Lawrence Nigro, 38, of Waterbury stole some beer and some candy at the supermarket. Police charged him with sixth-degree larceny and with interfering with police.
Police said they held Nigro on $2,500 bail for a November 18 arraignment at Danbury Superior Court.
Vehicular Violations
Police report that they stopped motorist Elizabeth Martell, 30, of Waterbury on Berkshire Road, near Toddy Hill Road, about 10:45 pm on November 17 to investigate.
Police said they charged Martell with driving with a nonfunctioning headlamp, improper use of a marker plate, driving without automotive insurance, and driving without a license.
Martell was released on $100 bail for a December 1 court appearance, police said.
Firehouse
Police report that someone intentionally damaged an air conditioner at the Dodgingtown Firehouse at 55 Dodgingtown Road. Police learned of the case of third-degree criminal mischief about 9:34 am November 17. Police ask anyone with information on the vandalism to contact them at 203-426-5841.
Theft
Police learned at about 8:22 am November 18, that someone had stolen a tire and a rim that had been left outdoors at Berkshire Motors, LLC, at 25 Berkshire Road. The incident constitutes sixth-degree larceny. Anyone with information on the matter is asked to contact police at 203-426-5841.
SUV Vs Pole
About 5:23 pm November 17, motorist Antoni Kogut, 53, of Shelton was driving a 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe SUV eastward on Meadowbrook Road, when the vehicle struck a utility pole along the right road shoulder, police report.
The Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps transported Kogut to Danbury Hospital for treatment of injuries, police said. Botsford firefighters responded to the accident.
New Lebbon Road
Michael Correia, 43, of North Haven was driving a 2005 Freightliner box truck southward on New Lebbon Road, near Beagle Trail, about 11:11 am November 18, when Correia looked downward briefly and the truck drifted over to the right road shoulder, police said.
The truck went into a ditch, damaging the vehicle, police said. Correia was not injured. Police said they verbally warned him for making a restricted turn.
Warrant
After learning that police held a warrant for him, Herbert Mortera, 46, of 20 Tunnel Road went to the police station on the afternoon of November 16 and was charged with failure to respond to an infraction stemming from Morteraâs not having responded to a ticket that was issued earlier this year on a charge of allowing a dog to roam, police said.
After processing, police released Mortera on $92 bail for a November 30 court appearance.
