Bernard St Peter, 92, of Oldsmar, Fla., died August 17 after a long illness.

He was a teacher in Maine, Florida, and Connecticut, teaching in the Newtown school system for approximately 23 years.

Mr St Peter was a very gifted and talented father; he sang tenor in the choir at St Rose Catholic Church, which he absolutely loved; he painted beautiful seascapes and water scenes; and he enjoyed family and friends.

He will be dearly missed by his two daughters, Janna Richardson from Maine and Lynn St Peter of Florida. He was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, all who survive him.

The absolute love of his life, his wife of 58 years, Arlene; and his son, Mark St Peter, predeceased him.

A memorial service will be conducted Thursday, August 31, at Curlew Hills in Palm Harbor, Fla.

His daughter Lynn says, "A very faith filled journey has begun for my father as he is embraced in the love of God and family and friends."
