BETHEL — Friends of a local first responder are planning a special event, Pack The Pub for Chris Buczek, to help cover costs following serious medical concerns.

Pack The Pub will be an ongoing event Monday, January 14, from 11:30 am until 10 pm, at Meeting House Pub, 37 Stony Hill Road (Route 6) in Bethel.

Mr Buczek is a former member of Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps and a former Danbury Hospital EMT who now works as a nurse in the Western Connecticut Health Network Emergency Department. He is also a member of the search and rescue community in the state.

Raffles will be conducted during the event, with winners to be announced at 8 pm.

In addition, the restaurant plans to donate a percentage of the day’s food and drink orders to the fund.

Those who cannot attend but would like to donate to the fundraising efforts for Mr Buczek are invited to send contributions to Operation Buczeck c/o Ridgefield Professional Firefighters Local 1739, PO Box 227, Ridgefield CT 06877.
