Photography Opening
Reception Saturday
Following its summer break, The Olga Knoepke Memorial Meeting Room at C.H. Booth Library will begin offering exhibitions of work by local artists this month.
Carol Gibsonâs work was seen at Booth Library earlier this year, when she shared the same space with fellow photographers Art Anderson, Bob Berthier and Frank Gardner. Now the primarily self-taught photographer and computer buff will have the space to herself for âCarol Gibson, Photographic Designer,â which will open on Friday, October 3.
A public reception is planned for Saturday, October 4, from 2 to 4 pm. The public is invited to meet the photographer and even ask questions about her collection of photos, which will remain on view until Wednesday, October 29.
A lifelong passion for photography combined with strong computer skills have made Mrs Gibson of Bethel an award-winning photographic designer. She uses Photoshop and other computer programs to re-work photographs, adding and/or removing different aspects of a photo.
The library, at 25 Main Street, can be reached for additional information by calling 426-4533.
