Sculptor Speaking To Working Women’s Forum

The Working Women’s Forum, an association of local professionals and entrepreneurs, will feature Newtown sculptor and registered art therapist Debby Tendler, MPS, ATR, at the March 12 meeting, held at 6 pm in The Opera Cafe (formerly Greenwoods) in Bethel.

Her topic of discussion, “Creating, Learning & Healing,” will describe how to use one’s innate creative expression to access deeper levels of personal understanding and awareness, which in turn enhances self-esteem, well-being, and empowerment.

Ms Tendler believes in the capacity of the human spirit to heal through art’s unique quality to readily demonstrate what is not always on the surface. She works at guiding people interested in enhancing personal growth and deepening self-understanding through art.

Examples of her stone sculptures and those of her clients will be on display in the restaurant’s back room.

The program and dinner fee is $25 for members, and $35 for nonmembers, with a cash bar. The group will be accepting canned food, personal health, and beauty items for the Newtown Food Pantry.

Call in reservations to 364-1667 or emailrsvp@workingwomensforum.net
