Boys U14

Raptors 5, East Granby 1 (State Cup) – Matt Brier and Danny Clement scored two goals apiece to lead the Raptors to a State Cup win. Adam Buccino added a goal as Andy Lapple, Benjamin Miles and Dan Greenwood played well on defense. Ralph Sergiovanni and Xhulio Halili put in sound offensive performances for Newtown.

Raptors 2, East Hartford 0 – Adam Buccino scored two goals to lead the Raptors. Kyle Kromberg, Casey Tenney, and George Zaruba played strong defensively as Matt Iassogna and Colin Jacob rounded off the offensive side for Newtown. Goalie Zach Dlouhy had many spectacular saves.

Girls U14

Rampage 2, Southbury 1 – Gina Pisacreta and Kristen Tanner scored the goals to lift the Rampage past Southbury. Ashley Kuligowski, Annika Garrett and Meghan Bridges provided offensive support as the defense was anchored by sweeper Kirsten Hudock, Ellen Ritzinger and keeper Kaitlin Marsden.

Boys U13

Strikers 7, Somers 2 (State Cup) – Kyle Moore scored four goals while Daniel Lynch, Aaron Nezvesky and Michael Renz added one apiece to lead the Strikers into the next round of the State Cup. Lynch and Renz also notched two assists apiece while Thomas Capozziello and Michael Carrafiello had one each.

Strikers 5, Goshen 0 – Daniel Lynch scored four goals and Kyle Moore added a solo to lead the Strikers to the win. Assists were provided by Michael Carrafiello, Moore, Lynch and Daniel Hufziger. Sam Grainger and Russell Morgan played well at midfield while Tony Vacaro anchored the D. Kyle Wildman earned the shut out in goal.

Boys U12

Ridgefield 6, Force 0 (State Cup) – Peter Ovendorf and Joe van Veen kept up great offense against a very tough opponent. Francis Afriyie was great in the midfield and Trevor Carey and Jimmy Mooney played well on defense.

New Fairfield 2, Force 1 – Justin Brophy scored the goal for Newtown while Travis LeBlanc provided the assist in a very exciting close matchup. Chad Cullens and Tommy Stewart had great games controlling the midfield. Josh Gilbert did a great job in goal.

Danbury 6, Force 0 – John Imbimbo and Chris McGowan played very well keeping up the offensive pressure. Sean Burson and Thomas Healey played great defense. Austin Puleri had many great saves in goal.

Girls U12

Power 2, New Milford 1 – Maddy Keane scored two goals and sealed the win for the Power with a 25-yard shot over a wall of New Milford defenders. Nora Murphy and Nicole Davis played well at forward while Christina Caporale, Hannah Maret and Celeste Cheung played well at midfield.

Boys U11

Southbury 3, Cobras 1 –Chris Erikson played a dominating game while netting Newtown’s lone goal. The defense kept the game close with Andrew Kelley, Noah Sock and Sam Langdon. Eric Fiore, Patrick Thornberg and Dan Bittman added strong midfield play.

Cobras 4, New Hartford 0 – Chris Erikson scored two goals while Connor Quinn and Ian Solaski added one apiece to lead the Cobras. Quinn notched an assist. Stephen Conway, Peter Kerns and Robert Willis all had fine two way games. Sean Elliot had the shutout.

Boys U10

Brookfield 2, Newtown FC 0 – Brandon Marks, Jacob Moore and Matt Baldino led the charge on offense while Jonah Muniz and Philip Healy provided great defense for Newtown FC. Logan Puleri and Doug Miller were awesome in the net.

Bombers 1, Danbury 1 – Owen Gaston dribbled through four defenders to knock in his first goal of the season and lead the Bombers to the draw. Mustafa Sahki kept the pressure on Danbury’s defense the entire game. Connor Gallagher and Charlie Poarch played well in the midfield.

IN-HOUSE

Girls U14

Hyper Hippos 3, Hurricanes 0 – Courtney Beckett, Kayla Buckley and Katie Howell scored to lead the Hippos. Bianca Leblanc assisted on two of the goals while Lauren Pettinelli and Emily Dion played well in net. For the ‘Canes, Emily Ashbolt, Marysa Audet and Keri Chernoff played excellent defensively. Kyra Smith played solid goalkeeper.

Danbury 3, The Unknown 1 – Kayla O’Leary scored for The Unknown as they fell to a very experienced Danbury squad. Emma Iannini, Quincy DeYoung and Emily Rowe fought hard, while Alexandra Duris and Kaitlyn VosWinkel played well in the net to keep it a close game.

Boys U14

Beverly Hillbillies 5, Torpedoes 1 – Colin Cooper got the hat trick, leading the ‘Billies to victory. Joshua Branchflower played well in the net as Matt Ryan anchored a tough defense. David Hajzer played a strong field game on the wing.  For the Torpedoes, Brian Grimes scored the goal as Nathan Norwich and Miles Dobbrow were both very active at midfield. Jeff Hoffman led the defensive effort .

The Clash 4, Wildfire 2 – Austin Jones scored two goals while Stephen Forgione and Stephen Jarvis added a goal apiece to lead The Clash to the win. Goalie Andrew Bonvini and Zach Bennett powered the D. For the ‘Fire, Brandon Bennett and Nathaniel Burns scored while Chris Arnone, Matt Hodge, Jordan Mathurin and Vinnie Brophy played well.

Girls U10

Bulldogs 3, Comets 1 – Nicole O’Leary, Emily Davis and Hayley Naphen each scored a goal to lead the ‘Dogs. Grace Winans had a very good game. For the Comets, Tami Corsi scored the goal as Kaitlyn Sugarman played well on offense. Kate Fallon and Katie O’Hanlon played well on defense.

Ball Hogs 2, Funky Monkeys 0 – Elisabeth Boedecker and Claire Bernson each scored a goal to lead the Ball Hogs. Sarah Craig was super in goal while Olivia Ingham played strong defense. Aspen Kraushaar played well at both ends of the field for the Monkeys. Taylor Zingaro was great on defense as Jenna Calandro and Kerry Scallon were strong on offense.

Ball Hogs 0, Raging Fire 0 – Alexis and Ariana Dominicus were super on offense for the Ball Hogs. Ashley Beckett, Lia Tassinari, and Paige Thanasoulis had excellent games on defense. Paige Kroha and Emily Sippin were super in midfield for the Raging Fire as Kristen DeGirolamo was fantastic on offense and Dale Shearin was great in goal.

Boys U10

Pulverizing Peanuts 3, Gators 1 – Brandon Cooper scored two goals and Connor Anderson added one to lead the Peanuts to the win. Henry Summ and Nolan Cosgrove played well. For the Gators, Eric Pisani scored while Ryan Moyer and Ryan Pisani played well.

Wild Boyz 0, Strikers 0 – Tyler Coleman and Ryan Durr combined in goal to hold the Strikers scoreless, while Brandon Unger played well on defense and Brenton Scott keep up the pressure on offense. For the Strikers, Benjamin Galassi  and Nicholas Klein played strong defense as Nicholas Snyder was solid on offense and Justin Weiner played well.

Orangutans 2, Power Pigs 2 – Yossi Kohrman-Glaser scored a goal and assisted on another to lift the Orangutans into a come-from-behind draw. Jonathan Schwartz also scored while Mitchell Stewart and Tom Meier were strong in the midfield. For the Pigs, Stephen Walsh and Matt McGoldrick scored while Justin Germak and Taylor Rutter played well.

Boys U8

Huskies 2, Vikings 2 – Robbie Schreiber and Jordan Abraham each scored a goal to lead the Huskies. Michael Parker had a pretty assist and Alex Gerbo was tremendous in goal. The Vikings offensive charge was led by John Carlson and Matt Maturo, who each netted a goal. Michael Cloonan and Curtis Giles also had great games.

Bulldogs 1, Blue Dragons 1 – Ryan King of the Bulldogs and Gordon Walsh of the Blue Dragons scored the lone goals in this draw. For the ‘Dogs, Alec Hersh played well in goal, William Kelchner notched an assist, and Sam Duffy controlled the defense. For the Dragons, Carter Nordman played solid defense and Evan Degioralman played well in the midfield.

Tigersharks 5, Badgers 2 – Conner Miller scored four goals and assisted on another to lead the Tigersharks. Michael Meyer also scored. For the Badgers, Liam McNichols scored two goals to lead the offense. Akshay Delity was strong on defense. Richard Ciamarra and Robert Katrinak both had strong all-around games and were the teeth in the Badger attack.

Girls U8

Huskies 4, Racing Stripes 2 – Sarah Lynch (2), Kate Haggerty and Meghan Grimes had the goals to lift the Huskies to the win. Lauren Wilcox and Hannah Booth played well on D. For the Racing Stripes, Emily Riley had two goals with an assist from Taylor Lafave. Alexis Tucker and Tory Tucker played great defense.

Cheetah Champions 5, Fireballs 1 – Cassie Fischer scored four goals and Courtney Datin added one to lead the Cheetahs. Morgan Daniels and Hannah Grant both played great on defense. For the ‘Balls, Bailey Smith scored the goal. Portia Baudisch and Gabriella Perpignand played well.

Cheetahs 3, Tigers 1 – Quinn Karp scored two goals and Emma Johanesen added a third for the Cheetahs in the win. Kathryn Blanco also had a good game. For the Tigers, Emma Burns scored. Sara Lampel and Amanda Martinez also played well, and Olivia Holman was fabulous in goal.

Mustangs 3, Munchkins 1 – Jessica Keller scored twice and Hannah Schneiderman scored once to lead the Mustangs. Stephanie Devaney had a great game and Madeline Sieber did a great job in goal. For the Munchkins, Haley Trudell scored the lone goal. Caroline Tanner, Nicole Russo and Annie Hoffman all played well.

Dolphins 2, Soccerstars 0 – Kelsey Muniz and Jesse Sailer scored to lead the Dolphins to the win. Ceila Gold, Kristen Yapp, and Anita Luxkaranayagam played aggressive defense. For the ‘Stars, Morgan Goldstein and Megan Weber were strong at sweeper while Grace Sandercox made a fantastic debut in the goal as Katie Reilly led the offense at midfield.

Lady Hawks 4, Ball Hogs 1 – Kailee Dunnigan and Megan Milano scored two goals each to lead the Hawks. Brianna MacDonald, Emily McCoy and Jordan Svanda all played well. For the Hogs, Tess Stofko scored the lone goal. Stephanie Haas and Taryn McCleary were strong on offense and Victoria Teixeira was solid on D.

Nighthawks 5, Blue Yankees 1 – Matthew Bucci scored four goals for the Nighthawks and Jackson Fletcher added one. Jenna Ciavara and Jackson Fletcher were strong on offense and Evan Kohlsaat played well on defense for the ‘Hawks. For the Yankees, Connor Barrett scored off an assist from Luke Caplan. Matthew Krasnickas and Tommy Horan played well on D.

Dragons 3, Sharks 1 – Austin Engler scored two goals and Jack Bittman added one to lead the Dragons. Harry Eppers, Nikhil Trivedi and Bridgit Spies played well. For the Sharks, Elizabeth Chamiec-Case scored the goal as Patrick Brinker and Caroline Caporale played well.

Panthers 5, Team (#7) 0 – Evan Eggleston and Max McCleary had two goals apiece to lead the Panthers. Matthew Guinee also scored. Colleen McCarthy played well on defense and Megan Nahmias played great on offense.
