Fran Caso, 72, of Bethel, died October 20, after a long illness. She was born on June 14, 1946, in Baltimore, Md.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Maplewood at Newtown and also Regional Hospice for their unwavering support during this trying time.

Her husband, Bill; her four children, Stephanie Weller, Andrew Caso, Paul Caso, and Julia Rossini; her nine grandchildren; her mother, Frances Haynie; and her brothers, Paul Haynie and Ted Haynie, survive her.

Mrs Caso grew up in Maplewood, N.J., lived in the Boston area after marriage, and moved to Bethel in 1980. She was best-known for her outgoing personality, her unique communication skills, and her many friends.

Calling hours will take place Thursday, October 25, from 5 to 8 pm, at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.

A Funeral Mass will take place Friday, October 26 at 10 am, at the Church of St Mary, 26 Dodgingtown Road, Bethel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Regional Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Connecticut, 30 Milestone Road, Danbury CT 06810.
