St Rose School Celebrates Its Class Of 2008

Twenty-five students celebrated their completion of studies through eighth grade during graduation ceremonies for St Rose School’s Class of 2008 on Saturday, June 14.

Receiving high honors for the academic year were Erin Begg, Elyse Bokuniewicz, Jack Curry, Jessica Jowdy, Bryan Stender, and David Tortora.

Receiving honors for the academic year were Tara Dawley, Sarah Desroisiers, Megan Duero, Maria Dutsar, Alexandra Hamar, Andrew Hyeon, Kara Kendzirorski, John Kerins, Brittany Martens, Kelly Ann McCarthy, Mary Beth Meier, Kevin Morrissey, and Ryan O’Keefe.

The following students received Presidential Awards for Academic Excellence: Erin Begg, Elyse Bokuniewicz, Jack Curry, Megan Duero, Alexandra Hamar, Andrew Hyeon, Jessica Jowdy, Kara Kendziorski, Brittany Martens, Kelly Ann McCarthy, Mary Beth Meier, Bryan Stender, and David Tortora.

Receiving Presidential Awards for Academic Achievement were Tara Dawley, Sarah Desroisiers, Maria Dutsar, Rachel Hyland, John Imbimbo, John Kerins, Stephen Mais, Anna Marie Marini, Kevin Morrissey, Ryan O’Keefe, Nicholas Pedalino, and Matthew Ryan.

Several St Rose graduates were awarded scholarships. The Sister Julia Kelley Scholarship was awarded to Alexandra Hamar, David Tortora, and Anna Maria Marini. The Charles Weiss Scholarship was awarded to Matthew Ryan and John Kerins.

The Donna DeLuca Scholarship was awarded to Mary Beth Meier. The NJHS Scholarship was awarded to Jessica Jowdy. David Tortora received The Connecticut Excellence in Citizenship Award.
