Library Program Addresses The Adolescent Mind
Dr Elizabeth Jorgensen of Insight Counseling in Ridgefield will present âUnderstanding The Teenage Mind,â Wednesday, November 7, at 7 pm, in the C.H. Booth Library. The program is sponsored by Newtown Prevention Council.
Dr Jorgensen is recognized nationally for her expertise in adolescent and substance abuse counseling. She has practiced in this field for 26 years, and is a recipient of a Congressional Award for her work as an educator and community prevention activist. Dr Jorgensen is a popular speaker, focusing on parenting the preteen and teenage child.
Thanks to a grant from the Newtown Prevention Council, the library has recently updated its parenting resources. The public will have the opportunity to review these new materials, located in the reference section of the library, on the third floor, prior to and following Dr Jorgensenâs program.
