Caregivers Course In Southbury

SOUTHBURY — The Western Connecticut Area Agency on Aging has developed a four-part caregivers course that will be held beginning May 20 at Kensington Green on South Main Street from 6 to 8 pm. The cost of the course is $5 per class, which includes food and beverages.

On Thursday, May 20, Cathy Modena will present “The Pros and Cons of Home and Self-Directed Care.”

On Thursday, May 27, Marjorie Haas, a licensed clinical social worker, will discuss “Improving Communication Skills For Caregivers.”

On Thursday, June 3, Attorney Robert Fisher of Cramer & Anderson will talk about legal issues for caregivers.

On Thursday, June 10, Dawn MaCary of the Western Connecticut Area Agency on Aging will discuss Medicare and Medicaid.
