Same-Sex Wedding Expo: First Of Its Kind In The State This Weekend

SHELTON — RainbowWeddingNetwork.com (RWN), the national gay and lesbian wedding resource, will produce an LGBTQ Wedding & Family Expo on Sunday, December 7. The event will celebrate the recent ruling by the State Supreme Court in favor of same-sex marriage in Connecticut and will mark the 25th such event produced by RWN, which has toured the country since 2003 to bridge the resources of screened, gay-friendly businesses with the couples seeking their services.

Sunday’s Expo will be held at the Courtyard by Marriott and will run from 12:30 to 3:30 pm. There is no admission charge.

Over 40 local wedding vendors will participate in the Same Love, Same Rights®  LGBTQ Wedding Expo. Other highlights will including planning tips and trends, samples, and informative presentations about the issues concerning equality in marriage and adoption for the LGBTQ community in Connecticut.

Wedding coordinators, officiants, invitation companies, jewelers, DJs and entertainment companies, travel agents, reception venues, limousine companies, legal representatives and real estate professionals and others will help make the Same Love, Same Rights® GLBTQ Wedding Expo an elegant event to bridge couples with the resources they need to make their dream wedding a reality.

Advocates and allies are also welcome.
