Candidate Focused On Innovative Solutions For More Opportunities <font size="3"
By Phil Dwyer
To the Editor:
Last week our state legislature approved a $220 million deal to keep Sikorsky Aircraft in Connecticut. This deal ensures that Sikorsky, based in Stratford, will remain in Connecticut until 2032, creating 8,000 new jobs over that time. I applaud the work of our state legislature and their commitment to saving jobs now, and providing jobs for the future. However, more must be done.
When elected I will put forward legislation that focuses on innovative solutions to develop local businesses that have the potential to create jobs for our state. Here in Connecticut we have the talent, education, and leadership to be a business leader, but we need to make smart investments in creating more opportunities.
