Hayride & Bonfire Planned
Hayride & Bonfire Planned
OXFORDâ What could be better than going on an old fashioned hayride in the country followed by a bonfire and kosher hot dog cook out?
The Federation-Jewish Communities of Western Connecticut will hold its family hayride and cookout on Sunday, October 18, from 4 to 6 pm, at Schreiberâs Farm, 571 Quaker Farms Road.
The hayride will follow a leisurely route through beautiful pastures filled with grazing cows. There will be a stop at a clearing where a perfect bonfire will be blazing, just waiting to roast hotdogs and toast marshmallows for sâmores. The wagons will then reload and return to the parking lot.
There will be plenty of farm animals to see as well as the wonderful fall scenery. Sweaters are suggested.
Admission is $30 for a family of four, with an additional charge of $5 for each child ages 5-12. Singles and children over 13 are $10. Reservations are necessary by Wednesday, October 14; call 267-3177 extension 106 or send email to CBurger@jfed.net.
