To The Editor:

We at Friends of Newtown Park and Bark would like to thank everyone who came out to support our 7th Annual Strutt Your Mutt dog walk and fair, held May 14 at Fairfield Hills. Proceeds will go to maintain and improve Newtown Park and Bark, Newtown's dog park and social hub for Newtown's dog lovers. A portion of the proceeds will also be shared with local animal welfare organizations.

Our event would not have been possible without our generous sponsors: Mt Pleasant Hospital for Animals, Canine Training and Behavior Services LLC, Agriventures Agway, Good Directions Inc, DreamRide.org, Newtown Car Show, the Sferruzzo Family, Berkshire Veterinary Hospital, Canine Arts Academy, Brookfield Animal Hospital, Tiger Rose Labradors, Café Xpresso, Caraluzzi's, Happy Hippie Grooming and Pet Care, Soho Pizza, Your Healthy Pet, and The Taunton Press.

Thanks also to our amazing vendors: Bellenot & Boufford, LLC, Camp Seawatch Kennels, Coast to Coast Dog Treats, Connecticut Humane Society, Contented Critters Country, LLC, Coy's Toys, Dorian Mode Photography, Mary Kay, Pawtown, Renewal by Andersen, Stained Glass by Adrianna, The Or-ganized Hive, Unleashed, Wags Doggie Day Camp, and Wildflower Confections.

Thanks as always to K-9 Officers Felicia Figol, Matthew Hayes, and St Michael for their crowd-pleasing police work demonstration.

Thanks to Police Explorer Troop 823 for assisting both the K-9 officers and Friends of Newtown Park and Bark.

Thank you to Newtown Parks and Recreation for their assistance with event setup.

Sincerely,

Janice Butler, Kim Jaeckel, Catty Rebar, RoseAnn Reggiano,

Kathryn Simonds, Mary Ann Viesto, Benay Yaffe
