Arthur A.         Reggiano

Arthur A. Reggiano, 75, beloved husband of Rose (Lodato) Reggiano of Sandy Hook, and formerly of Stamford, died May 6 in Danbury Hospital surrounded by his family.

He was born on September 2, 1929, a son of the late Arthur and Fannie (Pussuto) Reggiano. Mr Reggiano was a graduate of Greenwich High School, Class of 1947. He served in the US Army in Germany during World War II. Mr Reggiano was employed as a butcher for the A&P Supermarket on High Ridge Road in Stamford until his retirement in 1991. He has lived in Sandy Hook for the past three years.

Mr Reggiano was an avid golfer and bowler. He was a baseball and softball umpire and a member of the Stamford Umpires Association, and a fan of the New York Giants and New York Yankees.

Arthur was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, and will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife of 48 years, survivors include a son, Arthur A. Reggiano III of Trumbull; twin daughters, Rose Ann Reggiano of Sandy Hook and Mary Ann Viesto of Newtown; two sisters, Paula Gaspar of Trumbull and Viola Albero of Stamford; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held May 10 from the Honan Funeral Home, and at St Rose of Lima Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment followed in St Rose Cemetery.
