Pontiac Damaged

Sometime between 9:30 and 10:30 pm on June 2, an unknown motorist who was driving a vehicle in the parking lot of Mona Lisa Restaurant at 160 South Main Street, struck and damaged the right front section an unoccupied gray 2005 Pontiac Grand Am coupe that was parked in the lot, according to police. The offender then drove away without reporting the collision.

Police are investigating and ask anyone with knowledge of the incident to contact patrol Officer Thomas bean at 426-5841 in reference to case #9709-6925.

Boulevard Collision

Police report a two-vehicle collision on a sharp curve on The Boulevard, near its intersection with Hall Lane, at about 5:38 pm June 3.

Motorist Evan Corigliano, 26, of Monroe was driving a 1992 Jeep Cherokee SUV southward and negotiating that curve, as motorist Salvatore Finazzo, 53, of New Milford was driving a 1999 Ford Mustang northward and negotiating that curve, police said.

Police said their investigation indicated that the Jeep crossed into the opposite lane, resulting in a collision between the two vehicles.

Finazzo was checked at the scene by ambulance volunteers but he declined transport to a hospital, police said. Police charged Corigliano with driving with a suspended license and with failure to drive to the right. Corigliano was released on $100 bail for a June 17 court appearance.
