Family: My wife Melissa.

How did you two meet? We met on a dating app. Our first date was at The Foundry in Sandy Hook.

Pets: We have two dogs, Benji and Jo-Jo.

How long have you lived in town? It will be 20 years in July.

What do you do for work? I work for Conair in Stamford, as a data analytics manager.

What did you want to be when you grew up? The only thing I can remember is telling my parents, at age 6, that I wanted to be in stock trading (laughs). I just wanted to make a lot of money, and I thought that was the job. I didn’t even know what they actually did.

What do you like to do in your free time? I like to play music — I play guitar. I occasionally play at Reverie and Antoinette’s. I also did Shortt’s Farm events last summer.

Who or what has been the greatest influence in your life? My grandmother, definitely. I studied German because of her, and studied abroad after high school. I didn’t end up pursuing a career in that, but she was a big inspiration for my education.

Favorite TV show? Right now, “Severance.” I’m really into that. Also “The X-Files.” We’ve started watching that again, from Season 1.

Favorite actor? Gary Oldman. He’s really good. Also Rose Byrne.

What was the most recent movie you saw in the theater? Nosferatu. We’ve started going a little more, especially since they put that one in Southbury.

Favorite food? Tacos.

Do you have any pet peeves? When people don’t follow the rules, it just really bugs me, especially running red lights, which I’ve seen a lot of lately.

Favorite color? Blue.

What is something you cannot live without? My guitar, definitely. That and being able to go on a walk in a nice setting, like Fairfield Hills — it’s beautiful there — and being able to rediscover things as you walk, things you might not have noticed before.

Do you have a favorite travel destination? Uruguay is a very cool country.

What is your favorite thing about Newtown? The people I’ve met. It’s an easygoing town, very similar to where I grew up in Missouri than a lot of other lower county towns. There is so much nature around us, and we have so many open spaces we can enjoy. Lots of hidden gems too, trails that people don’t know about.

Do you have a personal credo? Find a cause that means something to you and live humbly for it.
