On Thursday, April 3, Judy Thomas met with Newtown’s municipal leadership in recognition of April as Autism Awareness Month. The meeting took place at the municipal center. This was part of a broader effort by Thomas to bring recognition to the needs of autistic individuals and to garner support from municipal and state leaders in Connecticut. To date, Thomas has met with leaders from Newtown, Milford, Stratford, Easton, Bridgeport, North Branford, Ridgefield, Danbury, and Middlebury.
